COVID-19: Changing The Landscape

Why Hacking and Cyber Scams are on the rise during COVID-19

According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), steps need to be taken to mitigate risks from hackers and malware during this unprecedented COVID-19 outbreak.

CISA has released measures to be taken to mitigate risk for infrastructure, supply chain, and cybersecurity, and has also recently provided insight into cyberattacks taking place using the COVID-19 outbreak as a cover for attack vectors.

Ingram Micro has various tools to help keep you and your customers safe during this time of uncertainty, many of which can be delivered remotely for personal safety and rapid deployment.

Solutions

  • Penetration Testing: Ensure that network security posture is strong enough to hold back attackers with a penetration test. Delivered by our Certified Ethical Hackers, a penetration test illuminates possible holes in a security framework and gives specific remediations to correct any deficiencies.

  • Cyber Risk Assessment: Get a non-intrusive comprehensive view of risk factors related to compliance structures, network security, patch management, and more with a Cyber Risk Assessment.

  • Social Engineering: Whether remote or in an office, employees have a responsibility to keep information safe and secure. Ensure employees are abiding by information security standards through a social engineering assessment using spoof emails or phone calls.

  • Remote Configuration: Ensure your firewall or other security hardware/software purchases are configured to manufacturer and industry standards with expert remote configuration. Remember, a firewall is only as good as its rules: ensure that your hardware spend is maximized with our configuration services.
